A Wake Induced Lucid Dream, also known as a Wake Initiated Lucid Dream or WILD, is a dream in which the dreamer progresses from being wide awake to directly inside a dream, with no lapse in consciousness during the transition.
While a Wake Induced Lucid Dream is one of the many available lucid dream induction techniques, it is one of the hardest methods to accomplish when attempting to induce a lucid dream. This is because inducing a WILD requires a specific set of psychological and physiological conditions to be just right or "in sync" to successfully induce a WILD.
Please refer to our media blog entry How To Have a Wake Induced Lucid Dream. In this video & article I explain:
- The ideal mental and physical conditions recommended for successful WILD.
- Common obstacles & how to overcome unpleasant phenomena during sleep onset.
- My own WILD experience and how I managed to successfully induce it.
